About Chris Morales
Chris Morales was named the News Director of Chisholm Trail Broadcasting in August 2015. Being his first job as an On-Air personality out of college, he is extremely excited for the new experience and opportunities the position will bring. Prior to CTB, he spent two summers as both the play-by-play voice and a writing intern for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball league in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Chris recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a focus in Sports Journalism from Rutgers University in May of 2015. At Rutgers, he worked at the student radio station, 88.7 WRSU-FM, for three years. At WRSU, he was one of the main play-by-play voices for Rutgers football, basketball, and baseball, and also hosted his own sports talk show, "SportsKnight", on Tuesday nights. During his senior year, he also served as both the station's General Manager and Assistant Sports Director. Following the 2015 school year, the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) named Chris an All American Honorable Mention as one of the Top 40 Collegiate Sports Broadcasters in the country. He was the first student from Rutgers named in the top 40 since 2010.
Chris is originally from Newark, New Jersey and is a fan of the New York Yankees, New York Jets, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
